Comparing yourselves
among yourselves is
"Not Wise" -Apostle
Paul (2 Cor 10:12)
Right & Wrong way to Judge. We live in a world of comparisons. People compare one event to another. They compare this person with that person. Movement with movement. Idea with idea. Professions, religions, countries, leaders, all compared to each other, all the time.
And the worse one looks, the better the other looks.
The worse one religion looks, the others all look better.
When Islam and Catholicism hold around a billion followers each and one of those religions are made to look like terrorists, then Catholicism looks better to the world and is a better choice.
And the worse OUR leaders look, the BETTER other leaders look. Including the Pope.
Other words for comparisons is judgments and measurements.I would say the world wastes 99.99% of their time comparing one thing with something else. Instead of comparing things the right way and comparing everything with what the Word of God says.
This is not "righteous judgment" that they practice in doing this (John 7:24). This is the exact type of judgment Jesus told us NOT to use.
"Judge not, that ye be not judged."
"For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again."
"And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?"
"Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?"
"Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye." Mathew 7:1-5
"You hypocrites" Jesus says. Judge YOURSELF FIRST by God's Word. When you are obedient to God in that area, then you can call others to order in that area.
Paul talks about this also in 2 Corinthians:
"For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise." 2 Corinthians 10:12
You're "not wise" Paul says to those who do this thing.
"But we will not boast of things without our measure,"
He says those who compare themselves among themselves are actually "without measure". Paul nullifies such judgements and measurements and comparisons.
"but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us."
We measure things with God's Word! And compare all things to God's Word!
"a measure to reach even unto you." 2 Corinthians 10:13
Paul said the gospel reached "unto" the Corinthians because Paul used God's Word as his judge. And that Judge, or measurement guideline is what pushed Paul to reach souls with the gospel. The Holy Spirit laboring mightily with and through the Apostle Paul.
And not only did the Apostle reach the Corinthians because of these righteous measurements he compared himself to. But he envisioned,
"To preach the gospel in the regions beyond you,"
Paul will go over and above even being great because he will not stop comparing himself to God's Word which teaches us to suffer all things and endure to the end...
"For NOT he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth." 2 Corinthians 10:18
And that goes for everyone else who commends another without using the proper comparisons and measurements aka they don't use the Word of God to judge.
God is our King and His Word is our law. That's if you want to be in the family of God. If you do not follow after holiness, you will not see God (no matter who you or I think we are).
"Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:" Hebrews 12:14
Amen
Proverbs 8:11 For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.
Nothing compares to God's Word. God's Word is the final law. God is the final Judge and everyone will be judged by this same Word of God that we all have access to.
Now is the time to judge ourselves.
Romans 2:1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
Romans 2:2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
Romans 2:3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
Judge yourself by God's Word. And may God have mercy on us all in Jesus' Name Amen

Did God create everything
that exists?
Does evil exist?
Did God create Evil?
A TRUE STORY BELOW:- Amazing answer to the these 3 major questions.
Did God create everything that exists? Does evil exist?
Did God create
evil?
A University professor at a well known institution of higher learningchallenged his students with this question. "Did God create everythingthat exists?"
A student bravely replied, "Yes he did!"
"God created everything?" The professor asked.
"Yes sir, he certainly did," the student replied.
The professor answered, "If God created everything; then God createdevil.
And, since evil exists, and according to the principal that our worksdefine who we are, then we can assume God is evil."
The student became quiet and did not respond to the professor'shypothetical definition.. The professor, quite pleased with himself, boasted to the students that he had proven once more that the Christianfaith was a myth.
Another student raised his hand and said, "May I ask you a question, professor?"
"Of course", replied the professor.
The student stood up and asked, "Professor, does cold exist?"
"What kind of question is this? Of course it exists. Have you neverbeen cold?"
The other students snickered at the young man's question. The young man replied, "In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws ofphysics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat.Everybody or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmitsenergy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmitenergy.Absolute zero (-460 F) is the total absence of heat; and all matterbecomes inert and incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold doesnot exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel if we have no heat."
The student continued, "Professor, does darkness exist?"
The professor responded, "Of course it does."
The student replied, "Once again you are wrong sir, darkness does notexist either. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we canstudy, but not darkness. In fact, we can use Newton's prism to breakwhite light into many colors and study the various wavelengths of eachcolor. You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray of light can breakinto a world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you know how dark acertain space is?You measure the amount of light present. Isn't this correct? Darknessis a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no lightpresent."
Finally the young man asked the professor, "Sir, does evil exist?"
Now uncertain, the professor responded, "Of course, as I have alreadysaid. We see it everyday. It is in the daily examples of man's inhumanity toman. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil.
To this the student replied, "Evil does not exist, sir, or at least itdoes not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It isjust like darkness and cold,a word that man has created to describethe absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of whathappens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It'slike the cold that comes when there is no heat, or the darkness thatcomes when there is no light."
The professor sat down.
