Once an Orthodox Jew now a Messianic believer who explains the Feast of Trumpets coming up is important for us to know, mark and observe. Feast of Trumpets is a Dress rehearsals for His return. Biblical calendar and Feast Days are called His Days and is not owned by the Rabbis. Our Father in Heaven calls them His Days. Explains in Romans that when the bible instructs Israel, these instructions are for us also as we are grafted into Israel when we become Christs.

~ What is Rosh Hashanah - Feast of Trumpets ~Is the Lord the same Yesterday, Today & Forever? Do you believe in Divine Appointments? We need to realize the Lord fulfilled the Spring Feasts not only to the day but to the very hour. Dying as the Passover Lamb on the Feast of Passover, not on the day before nor on the day after. He was crucified at the time of the morning sacrifice, died at the time of the evening sacrifice. In the grave on the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and rose on the Feast of First Fruits. First Fruits was a Feast the Jews had been celebrating for over 1,000 years before Christ ever rose! It was on the very day of the Feast of Pentecost that The Holy Spirit was poured out. Pentecost had been celebrated for over 1,000 years before the book of Acts was even written. The Jews were required by God to keep the Feast of First Fruits and the Feast of Pentecost back when the Torah was written by Moses! The word “Feast” does not mean food! The Hebrew word is “Moed” and means an Appointment. Divine Appointments of God intersecting History to accomplish His will. They were called Holy “Convocations” which in the Hebrew is “Miqura” which means an “assembly” but also implies a “Dress Rehearsal”. So for over 1,000 years, the Jews were assembling for the Spring Feasts as Divine “Dress Rehearsals” for what was to come! Being performed only on the Divinely Appointed days to the exact hour so when God intersected History we would know it was Him! God schedules His Divine appointments with man, we don’t dictate to Him when they will fit into our schedule. Know that you can have scheduled Divine Appointments with God because He has already put them in His Daytimer, and He has revealed the days and times to all of us!
Lev 23:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts (Appointments) of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, (Dress Rehearsals) even these are my feasts.
These are the Lord’s Feasts! Do you belong to Him? Come and experience the dress rehearsal so you’ll know what is going on when it happens! Know the Lord’s appointed times! Be there!
Jer 8:7-9 Yea, the stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times;and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming ; but my people know not the judgment of the LORD.
The Feast of Trumpets goes by many different names, each one conveying a different aspect of this Divine Appointment. We will only cover this Feast in this brochure and the other two Fall Feasts (Yom Kippur and Feast of Tabernacles) in two other brochures.
~ Yom Teruah ~The Feast of Trumpets is also known as Yom Teruah which literally means the “Day of Blowing”. This is the only Feast Day when the shofar is blown during the service 100 times! They are blown in a set pattern of 3 different sounds, blown 3 times each for a total of 9 blasts. This series of patterns is repeated 11 times for a total of 99 blasts. The 100th blast is set apart and this is the blast that is known as the “Last Trump”!
Lev 23:24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation. (Dress Rehearsal)
The Hebrew word for “blowing of trumpets” is “Teruah” from Strongs #8643 a battle-cry; especially a clangor of trumpets, as an alarm.~ The Time of Jacobs Trouble ~Also known as the Great TribulationJer 30:6,7 Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness? Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble;
Zeph 1:14-16 The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers.~ Day of the Awakening Blast ~Isa 26:19 Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.
1 Thess 4:16,17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpof God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (Referring to Psalm 47)
Psalm 47:5 God is gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet. The Hebrew word for shout here is “Teruah” ! And the word trumpet is “Shofar”. This is not a manmade trumpet or it’s sound. Ps 89:15 Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound. Here the Hebrew word for “sound” is also “Teruah” which is why we want to hear and be able to know and discern the sound of the Shofar on Yom Teruah! From these verses we see the tribulation will start on the Feast of Trumpets and the resurrection of the dead will also occur on this Feast Day but whether they happen the same year we have no idea. Other Hebrew idioms for the Feast of Trumpets:~ The “Opening of the Books” ~It is taught in Judaism that it is on this day the Heavenly Court is in session every year. This begins what is known as the “10 Days of Awe” until Yom Kippur when the final judgment is meted out. God opens the books and reads the account of every individual for the previous year and they have 10 days to repent before their sentence is announced and the books are closed on Yom Kippur.
Dan 7:10,11 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened. I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.
Dan 12:1-2 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.~ “Opening of the Gates/Doors” ~Ps 24:7-10 Lift up your head, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory.
Rev 4:1-2 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.

Ps 47:5-9 God is gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet. Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises. For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding. God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness. The princes of the people are gathered together.~ “Yom HaKeseh” the “Hidden Day” ~Zeph 2:3 Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD'S anger.
Ps 27:5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.~ Ha Kiddushin/Nesuin (Wedding of Messiah) ~Joel 2:15-16 Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly: Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.
The Feast of Unleavened Bread falls on the 15th of the month of Nisan, so it’s always at the full Moon, in the middle of the lunar cycle. The Feast of Tabernacles is on the 15th in the middle of the month of Tishri, at a full moon. It’s easy to find the 15th by counting from the 1st. Because everyone was to celebrate the Feast of Trumpets and it always fell on the 1st day of the lunar month, based on the sighting of the new moon, it was known as the Feast where no one ever “knew the day or the hour” it would come. The Jews in Babylon and elsewhere were to keep it as well but it would take a day to get them the news so it was always kept for 2 days and was known as “one long day ”. It was to be a day symbolically hid from Satan so even he would not be sure of its arrival!
In Dan 7:25 the antichrist changes the “times” because he doesn’t want us to be aware of the “ appointed times and seasons” of the Lord. To Summarize: The Feast of Trumpets will be the beginning of the Tribulation and also the day of the “natzal” (rapture), but no one knows whether they will happen the same year or in different years. THE HEBREW NAME OF THE FATHER AND HIS BELOVED SON

I learned that the King James, and most Bible versions, replaced the personal covenant name of the Father and replaced it with God and Lord; and that the Son’s Hebrew name is Yahusha, not the Greek Jesus (Iesous).
What a grand deception!  Satan caused the King James Bible translators or other translators to replace Yahuah’s personal covenant name with the generic God and Lord.

And he caused people to use the Greek name Jesus (Iesous) instead of his Hebrew name, Yahusha. This is not to say that people haven’t 
been saved using the name of Jesus, but wouldn’t you rather use the name that His parents and disciples called Him?

The Hebrew Scriptures give us the Father’s personal, covenant name, which should be hallowed above all other names.

The Father’s personal name is Yahuah,which is spelled from right to leftin Hebrew as יהוה.

The Scriptures declare that the name of the Son means “Yahuah Saves,” so His name includes part of the Father’s name along with the Hebrew word for ‘saves.’

The Son’s personal name is Yahusha, which is spelled from right to leftin Hebrew as יהושע

The sacred name of the Father is Yahuah.
The Father has given us His personal name, but the enemy has caused Christians to use trite terms such as “Lord”and “God,” which pagan gods are also called.

Over 100 times from Genesis to Revelation in the original Hebrew text, Scripture defines that the faithful followers are to “call upon the name of Yahuah.” 

The emphasis from His holy Word is that His faithful are to proclaim the true sacred name of Yahuah,the Most High, which is spelled from right to leftin Hebrew as יהוה
When transliterated into English it is then read from left to rightas YHUH, and is spelled and pronounced as Yah-oo-ah. The Father’s Name is made up of the four Consonants:

Y (Yod)H (Hay)U (Uau)/[Waw]H (Hay)If we add them all together, we get Yahuah, Yah-hoo-ah.
The sacred name of the Son is Yahusha, which means Yahuah is Salvation.
Our Messiah was a Hebrew of the tribe of Yahudah/Judah, so He had a Hebrew name.

Messiah = HaMashiach in the Hebrew, so Yahusha Messiah is Yahusha HaMashiach
The spirit is Called Ruach Hakodesh
Ruach Hakodesh the Hebrew name of the Spirit of Yahuah.
Why are their personal, covenant names so important?
Here’s a few verses which declare the importance of using the right name. The KJV is provided to compare its usage of the titles, to the personal names in the ISR translation.

“Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.” Exodus 20:7

“You do not bring the Name ofיהוה Yahuah your Elohim to naught, forיהוה does not leave the one unpunished who brings His Name to naught.”

“That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH (the NKJ uses Lord),art the most high over all the earth.”  Psalm 83:18

“And let them know that You, Whose Name isיהוה Yahuah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth.”

“Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.” Malachi 3:16

“Then shall those who fearיהוה Yahuah speak to one another, andיהוה listen and hear, and a book of remembrance be written before Him, of those who fearיהוה, and those who think upon His Name.”

“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21

“And she shall give birth to a Son, and you shall call His Nameיהושע Yahusha for He shall save His people from their sins.”

The name Yahushameans that He shall save His people from their sins.

When the Holy Scriptures declare that there is no other name under Heaven given among men whereby we must be saved, then you do not translate the name!

Christians have been programmed to reject people who use the Hebrew names, as part of a heretical ‘Hebrew Roots Movement’; but the real heresy is calling the Father by the generica ‘God‘ or ‘Lord‘, instead of His personal covenant name.
